Jay Baird is the bassist for Feist, and has also performed with Broken Social Scene, Blue Rodeo, Jason Collett and others.
Jay currently tours the world with the indie-pop chanteuse Feist and has a busy music career in Toronto, Canada. He attended the jazz studies program at the University of Toronto, where he studied under Kirk Macdonald, Alex Dean and legendary Canadian Performer/Composer Phil Nimmons.
Feist has enjoyed massive international success with her latest CD "The Reminder," which has sold in excess of a million copies, and earned five Grammy nominations and five Juno awards. Jay's television appearances with Feist have included the Grammy Awards, Saturday Night Live, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, and BBC and CBC radio.
Jay has also performed with DKT/MC5, Blue Rodeo, GUH, Dinner is Ruined, Woodchoppers Association, Broken Social Scene, Jason Collett and Sook Yin Lee to name a few.
